 "Africa Another Way" Foundation www.afryka.org

The idea of “Africa Another Way” was developed in 2007 along with the portal Afryka.org. The Foundation intends to integrate the African Diaspora with residents of Warsaw. It will achieve it by proper presentation and promotion of African culture in Poland, organizing the Festival of Cultures of Africa and the development of mutual respect. In addition, Foundation promotes knowledge about Africa and is working to change stereotypes and to develop the democracy in the African countries.

From the beginning Autocreation works for the integration of people who are socially marginalized and culturally different. It collaborates with people who want to find a job, migrants, and older people. The history of the organization dates back to 1992 when a group of its then ‘founders-to-be’ acted unofficially. Formally Autocreation was established in 2002, and from that point in history it successfully creates high-quality social programs. Foundation is helping migrants to find legal employment. It promotes the image of foreigner as legal and competent employee by usage of all the integrating activities. It is open to cooperation and partnership with other organizations.

 

Caritas- Help Centre for Migrants and Refugees www.migranci.caritas.pl

Polish Caritas is one of the charity organizations of Polish Bishops' Conference. It was revived in 1989. As an organization concerned with refugees and migrants it has 14-year experience in providing support to those groups and social trust which helps to establish relationships and makes it easy to reach to groups of beneficiaries.

Foundation for Somalia was established in 2007. Our main goal is to provide humanitarian aid to residents of Somalia (construction and equipment of the hospital in Adado) as well as support for foreigners living in the Polish territory. We conduct a consultation point where you can get legal, psychological or advisory assistance. For us the most important is the internal integration of African environment and to provide opportunities for cross-cultural activities (including enabling Poles to know different cultures).

 

The Common House of Caucasus www.domkaukaski.org

Organization is operating since 2007. Members of the association are mainly people from the South Caucasus, including Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. The purpose of the "Common House of Caucasus in Poland" is above all: to create a platform for agreement between individuals, research institutions, cultural and educational institutions, which are willing to participate in the process of integration and understanding of the nations of the Caucasus.

The most important project of the association is the magazine "New Prometheus", dealing with the history and the present of countries from the former USSR.

 

Association for the Development of Civil Society PRO humanum www.prohumanum.org

Pro humanum activity is focused on building an open civil society. It carries out projects aimed at civic education, multiculturalism, human rights, anti-discrimination, prevention of social exclusion. It conducts the Information Point for the European Commission Delegation in Wroclaw and Social Advice Bureau in Warsaw for people who are in a difficult situation because of gender, nationality, unemployment, disability, family conflicts.  All refugees and migrants who feel discriminated and need support can benefit from organizations advice. Among the publications issued by the association you can find: Warsaw - a city of many cultures, Anti-discrimination guide for police officers, Local media in the fight against racial and ethnic discrimination.

 

The Forum for Social Diversity Foundation www.ffrs.org.pl

FFRS mission is to create an open society, diverse in terms of religion, cultural, ethnic, racial, national background, and worldview. FFRS actions support the intercultural dialogue, develop knowledge resources and tools for social integration and equal treatment, and wants to speak out about the problem of discrimination based on religion, worldview, or ethnic, racial, national origin. FFRS is engaged in critical analysis of the history of the diverse society in Poland, so that the conclusions and reflections regarding past experiences have had a constructive contribution to the debate on contemporary dilemmas on migration, discrimination and integration. Support of social diversity in Poland is connected not only with the formation of cohesive and secure society within the country but also with the constructive engagement of Poland in the world.

 

Foundation for Development Beyond Borders www.frog.org.pl

The organization was established in 2006, its goal is to convergence nations, societies and countries in the region of Central and Eastern Europe through common actions connected with the area of ​​problem solving and social issues in the region. FROG actions are aimed at developing mutual contacts between the communities working to solve problems and social issues and dealing with regional cooperation.

The organization, founded in 2006, aims to open new space for artistic and social expression. It runs projects like: The Continent Warsaw (www.kontynent.waw.pl), realizes The Pilotage of Warsaw Multicultural Center (2009-2011) (www.cw.org.pl). Also realizes various projects (including varsavianistic, and connected with development cooperation in the Caucasus, Ukraine and Russia, and human rights in the world - for example www.RatujTybet.org), organizes the only festival inspired by the modern Caucasus www.transkaukazja.pl. Since 2007 it is a nonprofit organization.

This Foundation represents culture, religion and everything what we mean when saying Tibet tradition. Association invites monks from various monasteries, Buddhist teachers, doctors, Tibetan children to learn in Polish schools etc. We also are trying to help Tibetans outside Polish borders by cooperation with one of the villages of Tibet in China, with monasteries in India in the fields of education, health promotion and so on.

Institute of Public Affairs conducts research, prepares recommendations and reports on key issues of public policy. The Institute has its own experts and collaborates with researchers from Polish and foreign research centers. The results of research projects are published in the form of books, reports and messages. The Institute has extensive experience in conducting research on migration to Poland, the integration of immigrants, immigration policy and discrimination. These studies are carried out under the Polish and foreign projects funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the European Social Fund, the European Commission, European Regional Development Fund and the National Chamber of Commerce.

Continent Warsaw is a program separated from The Other Space Foundation. It was created in December 2006 and it is the first and only database of information connected with places, institutions, events and people associated with groups of foreigners. The main aim of this program is to promote artists and cultural animators from the third world countries and their actions. Editorial office pursued and  co-organized many cultural events promoting diverse cultures such as The Day of African Unity, Multicultural Warsaw Street Party, a series of events entitled 'People of the Continent', Continent: India - Indonesia, 'Chinese New Year & Saraswati Puja `Continent: China - India and many others.

Our Choice Foundation was registered in 2009 and it works for the integration of citizens of Ukraine and other countries neighboring with Poland. Members of the Foundation are both citizens of Ukraine and Poland. The Association "Never Again" is an organization working since 1996 to combat racism, xenophobia and intolerance. The Association "Never Again" brings together people with different beliefs, for which the common denominator is disagreement on discrimination. It promotes multiculturalism and respect for difference and monitors all racist incidents.

Observatory Foundation seeks to develop and promote a modern model of interdisciplinary research on culture in all its aspects. In addition to research activities, the Foundation animates cultural development activities and civil awareness. The projects contribute to the variety of multicultural map of Warsaw.

Foundation for the convergence of cultures Open Art was founded in 2010 by Evgen Malinovski (Russian artist living in Poland) and a Polish woman cooperating with him for many years. The main objectives adopted are: increasing competence in intercultural communication, convergence of cultures of different nations and bringing the communities closer to the culture, the integration of the creative environment, strengthen solidarity and encouraging to reflection on the ethical and social determinants of development of various cultures. The Foundation intends to pursue these objectives through: cultural education, promotion and organization of multicultural artistic events (concerts, festivals, performances, exhibitions, retreats, workshops, festivals, training) to present a multicultural artistic achievements (at the level of dialogue, language, nonverbal communication, and cultural performances) , support the artists both in the improvement of the workshop, as well as in promoting their achievements, collaboration with institutions, cultural centers and NGOs.

Anthropological Passage Association has been operating since 2001 and since its beginning it issues a magazine "OPCIT. Machine for interpretation." dedicated to the promotion of cultural anthropology as a useful tool to translate reality in all its aspects - including those related to intercultural dialogue and multiculturalism. Currently, it conducts The Translation of Art project in collaboration with Karolina Breguła.

Arteria Art Foundation since 2004 is producing film projects, interdisciplinary theater, initiates and implements social projects. It organizes the Film Festival of Five Tastes which presents Asian movie industry www.piecsmakow.pl. It also runs Loesje Polish group that organizes workshops developing creativity. It engages in activities for the Vietnamese community living in Poland. In projects such as the Multicultural Seminars it speaks about tolerance, integration and discrimination against foreigners. It acts both in the local community as well as it is committed to European cooperation.

Foundation was founded in April 2009 to promote intercultural dialogue. In its work is mainly focused on children - from two years it conducts lectures on intercultural education for preschoolers and students of Warsaw schools. It plans further workshops and meetings for children and youth, educational and cultural activities.
